Create a plane
Under material editor, insert bitmap image into the plane. Using spline, trace along the 1st piece of sculpture.
After tracing the outline, click one line and then right click it and press attach. Select the lines to be attached in order for it to become a whole.
Move it out from the picture exactly to the X-axis-horizontally.
Go to modifier and click vertex. Left click and select the whole vertex.
I'm trying to extrude the shape that I have created using spline. There is no single button to it to extrude. Thus, need to go through several steps.
Select all vertexes, right click it and click on Weld Vertices.
After that, convert it to editable poly.
Click polygon, scroll down on the right box and click extrude. Select the traced outline of the sculpture.
Adjusting it to appropriate thickness.
I realize that the part extruded and covered only at the top. Unfortunately, the bottom part of it is not covered. Thus, need to go through several steps.
Still in editable poly, click border and select the bottom part of it.
Then right click it, and click Cap.
Here it is. The shape has been extruded fully.
Repeat the same step and complete the others shape. How I do is trace part by part of the sculpture and extrude it.
After completing the extrusion of all part of the sculpture, move all the trace part to the picture and align them perfectly and exactly.
Move the each shape to the Z- axis and overlapped them precisely.
For the sphere part of the sculpture, I create a sphere and adjust it to the right fit and size.
Same goes for the other sphere.
The sculpture are actually supported with studs in between them. I created a cylinder, adjust it to the correct radius and height and for the next each stand, I simply just move, hold shift button and click copy.
So for, the sculpture is almost completed. Now left the base.
For the base, I created it using box. As usual, adjusting it to the correct size and height.
And the sculpture is done. Now left the colours and bringing it up to stand 90 degrees.
The Sculpture is done! Now left the colour editing.
I applied shades of blue onto the sculpture to give some similarity to the original and to enhance the look of it!
