If I were to apply Materials and Background onto the Sculpture...:)

"Just to please the eyes only"

Testing how my sculpture would look like if I were to include materials and background image. In this picture, the sculpture I included the ice texture onto it. Adjusting it to the correct position and right proportion, it will fit perfectly. Sadly, Project 1 we are NOT to include materials & background. But I have to admit this is not really a good job outcome though....haha

Project 1 Final Product!

WIP of Project 1

Create a plane

Under material editor, insert bitmap image into the plane. Using spline, trace along the 1st piece of sculpture.

After tracing the outline, click one line and then right click it and press attach. Select the lines to be attached in order for it to become a whole.

Move it out from the picture exactly to the X-axis-horizontally.

Go to modifier and click vertex. Left click and select the whole vertex.

I'm trying to extrude the shape that I have created using spline. There is no single button to it to extrude. Thus, need to go through several steps.

Select all vertexes, right click it and click on Weld Vertices.

After that, convert it to editable poly.

Click polygon, scroll down on the right box and click extrude. Select the traced outline of the sculpture.

Adjusting it to appropriate thickness.

I realize that the part extruded and covered only at the top. Unfortunately, the bottom part of it is not covered. Thus, need to go through several steps.

Still in editable poly, click border and select the bottom part of it.

Then right click it, and click Cap.

Here it is. The shape has been extruded fully.

Repeat the same step and complete the others shape. How I do is trace part by part of the sculpture and extrude it.

After completing the extrusion of all part of the sculpture, move all the trace part to the picture and align them perfectly and exactly.

Move the each shape to the Z- axis and overlapped them precisely.

For the sphere part of the sculpture, I create a sphere and adjust it to the right fit and size.

Same goes for the other sphere.

The sculpture are actually supported with studs in between them. I created a cylinder, adjust it to the correct radius and height and for the next each stand, I simply just move, hold shift button and click copy.

So for, the sculpture is almost completed. Now left the base.

For the base, I created it using box. As usual, adjusting it to the correct size and height.

And the sculpture is done. Now left the colours and bringing it up to stand 90 degrees.

The Sculpture is done! Now left the colour editing.

I applied shades of blue onto the sculpture to give some similarity to the original and to enhance the look of it!

Ice Sculpture It Is!

The clean cut Ice Sculpture and the sophisticated curve caught my attention. The abstract of it has meaning behind it . Besides that, it could be just merely just pure decoration.

Render What?!

Before start rendering, click render set-up and adjust setting like render output, options & most importantly, output size.

To render the object, click onto the Materials Editor. Select a material & drag to the object to apply on it. Make sure to unchecked use real world Texture Coordinate.

Simply just choose a picture and include it into one of a material selection by clicking bitmap.

The sorcery begins. I truly appreciate all comp apps lecturer for teaching this- using Loathe. I was mind blown so as the whole class. Simply just create a plane and by adding picture of a vase for example, into the bitmap and next, trace half side of the vase & click LOATHE! A beautiful vase a created!

After the Loathe product,it can be played by using Twist.

Twist to the desired degree to change the form.

A Cuppa Cup?

"Through Creation of a Cup"

First, create a cylinder. Click edit poly & click polygon & select the top part of cylinder.

Adjust the diameter until it's perfect.

Diameter is set. Next to adjust the depth of the cup by clicking the extrude button.

Base. Inset the bottom of the cup & move upwards.

Now the handle. In the front view mode, create an spline-like a cup handle shape. When it's done, move it near to the cup. [*the handle ain't easy to create. Took me to try about 5-6 times until I got it right :) Tips: when drawing the spline for the cup handle, make sure when you draw the spline for the top part of the handle, it has to ascend deeply- like around 20degrees.]

The final product. Click turbo smooth & you will get a even more fantabulous outcome.

I Call it- Jr. Zaha

The 1st tutorial class- learned and created something which looks "Zaha"-ish to me
